Beth Chin is a Chicago-based multidisciplinary artist, creative director, electronic composer, and author of Being Mixed: A Visual Guide on Mixed Identity.
With over 10 years of experience in large-scale public art and nearly 20 years in graphic design, her portfolio spans public murals, environmental graphics, installations, exhibitions, and experiential design. Notable projects include works for Cook County Health, DePaul University's NCAA Big East Women's Basketball Court, Westfield Old Orchard, OSF Healthcare, and Children's Health. She has also developed installations for venues and festivals throughout Germany, including Waagenbau, Habitat Festival, Flamingo House, and Fusion Festival. Her work has been featured by CBS News, Fox32 Chicago, ABC's Windy City Live, The Chicago Tribune, The RedEye, and DNA Info.
Beth is also the founder of Re-Mixed, an international arts and storytelling platform exploring multiracial identity, belonging, and cultural exchange. Through exhibitions, partnerships, and community programming, Re-Mixed connected artists and audiences across a growing international network.
Her practice centers on the relationship between environment and human presence. Through layered linework, fluid movement, and figurative integration, she creates compositions that respond to context and evolve with changing light, scale, and viewer perspective. Influenced by her background as an improvisational pianist and her process-driven approach to design, her work balances structured form with organic motion—allowing each project to adapt to its architectural setting and the narratives of its community.
Working across public art, creative direction, exhibitions, and immersive experiences, Beth combines technical precision with collaborative engagement to develop site-responsive projects that reflect both place and collective experience.
